And the US is trying to prevent Norway from doing so, to no avail.

Gert,
I will look at it carefully later but this seems to me like a joke !
''12. This is a generous relocation and resettlement package to allow them to build a new life for themselves and their families in countries preferably, but not necessarily exclusively, with similar religious and socio-cultural conditions.''
Specially when you read that some jews had just made Aliyah ! They are all over the web talking about their Aliyah !

No, not a joke.

"5. In fact, if the UNHCR's otherwise universal definition were applied to the Palestinian case, the number of refugees would decline from 4-5 million to 200-300,000 i.e. by over 90%!!"

4-5 million Palestinians for the price of 200-300,000... A bargain or what...

Aliyah... Olah and Oleh will soon be changing their names, I guess...

gert,
I am not sure what that statement about us (Olah and Me) was.
We are both Israelies living In Isreal, Actually in what some of you would call occupied East Jerusalem (French Hill)

and Just to be clear Oleh/Olah means some who made Aliyah - it's the Hebrew Verb. And between you and me - I like our names and have no plan on changing it.

Sophia,
What does making Aliyah have to do with this?? or do you think it's wrong for Jews to move to ISrael??

Oleh,
I think it is wrong for jews to move to Israel when this means displacing native populations and depriving them from their rights and their land.

Sophia,
Jews moving to Israel today do not misplace anyone else arab or otherwise.
Just like a mexican moving into the USA doesn't displace an american living there.
if you are reffering to the Refugee issue, than that Issue has become a political one. No one (unfortunatly) really cars about the Refugees. If anyone did care about them than they would have been taken care of and not be living in refugee camps 60 years after the events happened. This doens't mean relocating or even building permenent homes for them (since there are issues with that as to the Refugee Status), but Just making sure they are taken care of inside thier own area - Even in the PA under Arafats Rule - Trust me I have seen what they look like.

The bottem line is that Jews Moving to Israel - For whatever reason it might be, does not harm any person Already Living here.
