Sirince, 10kms from Ephesus, Turkey. originally it was a Greek village. Its inhabitants today are Turks from Thessaloniki who came to the village after its original Greek population were displaced by the ethnic unrests provoked by the fall of the Ottoman empire in the 1920s and the rise of Turkish nationalism.
