USrael: the Nozette case and the special relationship

Stewart Nozette who worked for US department of defense was arrested on spying charges by FBI agents acting as Mossad agents. He also worked at the department of Energy and at Nasa. He also worked at the White House on the National Space Council, Executive Office of the President, in 1989 and 1990.
While he held these various critical positions, Nozette ''was a technical adviser for a consultant company that was wholly owned by the Israeli government. Nozette was paid about $225,000 over that period, the court papers say.'' ----
----Nozette is listed also to having contributed to the 2008 campaign of Thad Cochran (R).---To the campaigns of Gordon Smith, Whitman, and Olympia Snowe (R)---As well as to the congressional campaigns of James Kolbe and C. Cox---

There is still plenty of information on him on the web right now but all these links may disappear.

Israel receives extraordianry support from the US on many levels, it has two lobbies in Washington, one of them Aipac, the most successful in the US at par with the health industry lobby, has always Washington's veto in the UN, never obides by UN binding decisions except the ones that decided the partition of Palestine, took the US to war in Iraq, is trying to do the same with Iran, and also needs to soy on its closest ally. What do you expect from this 'light onto the nations' ?

Israel, with a population of 7.4 million, is home to at least 80 human rights organizations, a vibrant free press, a democratically elected government, a judiciary that frequently rules against the government, a politically active academia, multiple political parties and, judging by the amount of news coverage, probably more journalists per capita than any other country in the world — many of whom are there expressly to cover the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Meanwhile, the Arab and Iranian regimes rule over some 350 million people, and most remain brutal, closed and autocratic, permitting little or no internal dissent. The plight of their citizens... is being ignored as Human Rights Watch’s Middle East division prepares report after report on Israel.

Tyranny over one's own people should never exist but this is not a matter of international law, this is a matter of ethical interventionnism. However tyranny over other people who are occupied is the business of the UN and international law. And Israel is not the country you describe, more often than it does, corrup politicians get away with their crimes and justice is just a mascarade. Democracy is also a mascarade in a country at war, the right and the left have been sitting together in the same government since 2000. And Israel oppresses its own minorities, its eastern and arab jews, and its weak population. it has orthodox gangs who burn tires in the street to protest the law, and it steals the compensation money of its concentration camp survivors. However, nobody dares to speak about israel's human rights abuse on its own population because they will be accused of anti-senitism, blood libel, and the rest of the narrative on which Israel thrives.

Don't you think you should mention how many Arab lobby organizations are in Washington since you think it's such a big deal that Israel has two lobbying orgs? What are Israel's "two lobbying organizations"? Can you name them?

Your post is a bunch of twisted misrepresentations strung together to create an anti-israel screed. Why do Israel haters always "enhance" (fabricate) material?

Sophia - don't get so upset! Arab countries and Arab Americans have more lobbying power than Israel! You need to learn more about Arab power in the USA and research Arab lobbying groups. Even Hamas is raising money for suicide bombers in the USA.

You never can win with a bigot. First the Arab world says the Holocaust and Concentration Camps did not exist. Then they accuse Israel of stealing from Holocaust survivors.
