What has taken place is a military coup. The Higher Military Council is the ultimate arbiter of who will or will not be appointed to government office.
I too hope, but the omens are not good.

PS: Sophie I became a grandfather again last week.
I understand your pessimism and we may see some setbacks and despair again but something has changed irreversibly and I hope some good will come from it.
My heartfelt congratulations on the birth of your second? grandchild. I wish you and your growing family all the best and I hope that the mother and the baby are doing well.
