Harper's Canada: A Banana Republic ?

George Galloway Banned from Canada.
George Galloway: 'Canada can't muzzle me.'
...for a Scotsman to be excluded from Canada is like being turned away from the family home.

In my opinion, this is the stupidiest thing the immigration minister could have done to himself, his party, and the best publicity for Galloway. Galloway is at its best in this kind of adversity, stupid adversity I mean...
According to a Youtube video link provided by Gert (see comment section), it seems that Galloway was banned after active lobbying from the Canadian Jewish Defense League. At the end of the debate on the video between the representative of the Jewish defense League and Galloway, the representative did not hesitate to speak in the name of the Canadian government. Now, many of my friends here in Canada are Jewish but I never discuss politics with them. They are totally brainwashed by their community leaders, and their community leaders have been the fiercest, and I must say the stupidiest, zionists operating in north America.

I've got this sinking feeling they'll let Geert Wilders in without a murmur (if they haven't already).

The Canadian g'vment is now more pro-Israel than their neighbours to the South (and no thanks to Obama so far).

To ban Galloway on the grounds that he 'supports Hamas' is ludicrous to say the least.

bravo to Canada for showing some backbone. Galloway supports regimes that are committed to removing countries from the planet.

Here's an interesting little blogpost on George Galloway's ban from Canada with some
interesting video, in which Galloway debates a guy (Meir Weinstein) from the Canadian JDL (Jewish Defense League). According to the post, the Canadian JDL is clearly linked to... well... the JDL, themselves in a spot of bother about... terrorist activity and support for Meir Kach!

Thanks Gert. I was busy this WE and did not have time to add to the post. The link is welcome.

O/T:

Do you think he's right about the Canadian Neocons? Will they be swept aside in the next elections? A greater bunch of Bush parrots is hard to find... What Anon calls 'backbone', lol.

Gert,

I think with Ignatieff as leader, Harper will find it difficult to win. Despite the erosion of the liberal party by years of governing and scandals, and a former leader, Stephane Dion, despised in Quebec because of his strong opposition to sovereignty and poorly understood in the rest of Canada because of a difficulty he had to make himself understood in English, last october elections were anything but a win for Harper. He even emerged weaker than ever. I also doubt his ability to change, to make himself likable because he is strongly an ideological person. So, yes expect Harper and the Canadian neocons to loose the next elections. Canada is not a country for them...

I see. Well, here's hoping...

"Defence League"?

As in "Defence Force" no doubt.

What a great word "defence" is.

I call it something else ~ The Ultimate Alibi.
